Boothbay Harbor Lobster Boat Races June 2010. Working Lobster Boats compete at races ending in Boothbay Harbor. Some are traditionally slow, others seem to have quite a bit of modifications.

This is a clip from the Lobster Boat Races DVD. The video was shoot by Wayne Hamilton, owner of the largest Marine Supply store in the area, Hamilton Marine. The DVD was comissioned by the Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport, Maine, who produced the DVD, a “must” place to visit when your traveling the Coast Of Maine. Every year a certain few of local lobster boat owners take off every piece of equipment not needed in their boat and enter it in the popular Lobster Boat Races watched by many from the shore.
