Top carb would spit at idle. Reed valve for top carb had crud holding one of the reeds open causing rich idle condition. This thing has put grey hair on my head.

I rebuild a Johnson V4 carb.
1961 Evinrude V-4 Starflite 75. 90 cubic inches of gas- guzzling, stump-pulling power. This engine fitted with a rare 2 blade racing prop. I’m sure it will still be going strong long after all the Etecs, Verados, Yams, Suzu’s & Hondas have blown up or worn out.
455 = 462 high performance 68 F block (Not F1, F2, etc..)
This is an all original 1959 Evinrude Golden Jubilee edition outboard. It is honoring the 50th anniversary of the first Evinrude in 1909. This motor is all original and runs about as smooth as anything out there.

I remove the lower unit from my 1996 evinrude 115 oceanpro to repair shift rod, service and disconnect VRO system.
